Your Building Journey with Hill House

Embarking on a new build, renovation, or extension is an exciting step — but it can feel overwhelming without a clear plan. At Hill House Design & Construct, we guide you through every stage so you know exactly what to expect.

1. Initial Consultation & Planning

Every project begins with a conversation. We’ll talk about your vision, budget, and timeline, and get a sense of your site or existing home. This is where we make sure we’re the right fit for each other and lay the groundwork for a successful project.

2. Design & Approvals

We work with our trusted design professionals to create a concept that blends function, beauty, and your lifestyle. This may include:

  • Drafting floor plans and elevations

  • Council or private certifier approvals

  • Engaging engineers or heritage consultants (for character homes)

3. Detailed Quote & Contract

With the design finalised, we provide a detailed fixed-price quote so you know exactly where you stand. When you’re happy, we formalise everything with a contract — locking in your scope, timeline, and expectations before work begins.

4. Construction Phase

Here’s where the transformation happens. We:

  • Coordinate skilled trades and suppliers

  • Keep you updated with clear, regular communication

  • Maintain a safe, tidy worksite at all times

If you’re living on-site during the build, we work to minimise disruption while keeping things moving.

5. Walk-Through & Handover

When construction is complete, we walk through the finished project with you, checking every detail together. You’ll receive:

  • Warranty information

  • Care and maintenance guidance for your new materials and finishes

  • User manuals for any appliances or fixtures

Our goal is to hand over a home that’s ready for you to enjoy from day one.

The Hill House Difference

Whether you’re building from scratch, extending for more space, or bringing an old home back to life, we believe the process should feel exciting, not stressful. With our experience, transparent communication, and commitment to craftsmanship, we deliver homes that feel timeless and personal.
